BIO & REP | Tessa Goddu

Tessa Goddu began studying flute at the age of six, and has since won top prizes in the Hartford Musical Club and Windham Regional Arts competitions, been selected as a finalist in the Hartford Symphony Young Artist and Frost Wind Ensemble concerto competitions, and been awarded UConn’s Jorgensen Outreach for Youth scholarship. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in the UK, France, Canada, and across the Eastern United States, and has spent summers studying at ARIA International Academy, Orford Musique, and, as a fellow, at the Kinhaven Young Artist Seminar and Wintergreen Music Festival’s LEAD Cooperative.

Tessa has performed in masterclasses for Chelsea Knox, Tara Helen O'Connor, Joshua Smith, Aaron Goldman, John Thorne, and Linda Chesis, among others. Prior to beginning her degree, she studied with Greig Shearer, Janet Arms, and Bart Feller, and is currently pursuing a B.M. at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music under the tutelage of Jennifer Grim.
